Curriculum expertise

Over my publishing career I have become highly familiar with a wide range of mathematics curricula worldwide. This has continued and diversified during my current time as a freelance publisher, in which I work for clients who are catering for very different and specific markets.

These curricula include:

Cambridge International EducationI am familiar with primary, lower secondary, upper secondary (IGCSE) and advanced level (A-level) courses, having published for these both during my time as an in-house publisher at OUP and CUP, and more recently as a freelancer.
UK curricula

I have published extensively for curricula including Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level, as well as primary courses. I have also published for Scottish National qualifications, as well as Functional Maths; and for the P levels for pupils with special educational needs.

I have worked closely with the various exam boards, including time spent as a senior qualifications manager at Edexcel.

International BaccalaureateI have been extensively involved in publishing textbooks and software for the IB Diploma programmes at all levels, and am well familiar with the courses and their overall ethos and aspects such as Theory of Knowledge.
US Common CoreI commonly work with publishers and design programmes that use the common core standards as a base, and then tailor the standards to more local needs.
Various other global curriculaI continue to work with publishers focusing on a wide range of international curricula, including from ‘MENA’ countries (Middle East and North Africa), Asia-Pacific, Canada, Australia to name a few.

I am available for consultation and professional development in these fields.
